Dr. Mandar V. Bichu
Born and brought up in NRC Colony, one of Maharashtra's quaint industrial townships, Dr. Mandar did his medical graduation and post-graduation from Mumbai's famed Sion Hospital (Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College). Never one to just confine himself within the curricular activities,Dr. Mandar has made his mark in diverse spheres like sports, music and literature, right from his college days. He was the President of Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors (MARD) in1991-92.

When just out of college, he started writing for various Marathi newspapers and periodicals like Saamna, Chanderi and Ruchi. In 1993, he moved and settled down in United Arab Emirates in the city of Sharjah. Since then, besides being one of the leading paediatricians in the city, he has also gone on to become one of U.A.E.'s renowned writer- journalists. His articles on music, movies and medicine have been regularly featured in many reputed international print and web-media. His main journalistic work has been with U.A.E.'s premier newspapers- Khaleej Times and Gulf News.

Dr. Mandar has to his credit 5 well-acclaimed books - Gaaye Lata Gaaye Lata (1996), Doctorki (1999), Suur Manaatale (2002), Right Parenting (2008) and Lata - Voice of the golden era (2010). He is also the editor of another popular web-portal Cinemasangeet.Com.

He is an eminent public speaker and has delivered lectures on child-health and other topics in UAE's various schools and local associations and on major radio and TV channels.
